Tristar has signed a document supporting the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum and committing the company to reduce its carbon footprints and promote the concept of recycling and reusing. The forum will take place on June 15 to 18 in Rio de Jainero, Brazil, and aims to strengthen the business sector’s contribution to sustainable development globally.
Tristar Group CEO Eugene Mayne receives the 2012 Occupational Health & Safety Gold Award and the 2012 MORR (Management of Road Risk) Gold Award from Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Trustee Michael Hampson during the awarding ceremonies held in Birmingham, United Kingdom, on 17th May 2012. RoSPA’s mission is to save lives and reduce injuries.
Tristar sponsored the Toastmasters International’s Division J Annual Conference held at the Etisalat Academy in Al Ghusais, Dubai, on 4th May 2012. Group CEO Eugene Mayne and several officers and members of the Tristar Toastmasters Club attended the event which saw representatives from various clubs compete in four contests, namely valuation, Humorous, Table Topics and International.
Tristar has observed Global Earth hour on 31st March in all its countries of operations, with the commitment to conserve energy throughout the year.
Dubai: In order to develop communication & leadership skills of professionals, Tristar has formed Toastmaster Club, which is a part of Toastmaster International, a non-profit organization founded on 1924 by Dr. Raloh C Smedley. Toastmaster International is a world leader in communication & leadership development.
Dubai: The Annual Christmas Party was hosted on 21st December at The Palace Hotel in Down Town, Souq Al Bahar. There was various fun & games activities, live band, sporadic raffle draws, lavish dinner and cocktail party which was actively participated by Tristar staff and their familiy members.
Pakistan: Tristar mobilized its Pakistan office to join hands with the governement to help the flood victims. The team prepared food bags with provisions for an average family consumption, to last for 2 weeks. These food bags were distributed in the Badin District, one of the severely affected district by the flood.
Dubai: Conducted a free medical checkup camp for all Tristar Employees, on 29th and 30th of May 2011.
Across the Group: Observed Driver Safety Week from 25th February to 1st March 2011. The theme of the safety week was “My Reason for Safety… My Family”.
